Thank you Dylan. We need more of this type of analysis from people who actually "do their own research" - then make the effort to share those findings.

Thanks David! I think the challenge is that it's just a little bit soul destroying every time, and there's so much of this nonsense out there.

As you can imagine this "billions from USAID" conspiracy stuff alone is being directed at dozens or hundreds of organisations, and there are so many more baseless claims where they come from (not specifically Elon, but also quite often Elon).

One challenge is even understanding the basis on which the claims are made in the first place. Thankfully in this case it was quite straight forward, but often there layer upon layer of conspiracy lore to make sense of first.

Anyway, thanks again for reading and commenting.

Agreed. It’s a bit like playing an impossible game of Whack-a-mole. But the more of this type of work that gets into the public domain, the more it will get people asking questions about the stuff they read and hear (hopefully!!)

Dylan seems to know about USAID as much as he knows about LLMs, which is frankly very little.

Very interesting read. I saw this blow up yesterday and had forgetten to look it up again. Any idea who is the overly dramatic and ignorant 'The Shadow info'.....and has Cameron Slater admitted he was barking up the wrong tree yet again?
