Sovereign Sheriffs vs. the New World Order
Self-appointed law enforcers have convinced themselves that only they truly understand the law, and the peril faced by New Zealanders.
Tomorrow is the day! Tomorrow is when “Jacinta Adhern” will sign New Zealand over to the New World Order. Tomorrow is the day that the Communists take power.
This is the reality we face according to a small but sizeable group of international conspiracy theorists who believe they, apparently alone, have the power to stop this by declaring themselves Sheriff and arresting those conspiring to sell out the world.
It’s honestly difficult to explain what is behind all this. It’s a weird mix of classic US political paranoia about Communism, some prophetic QAnon mythology, a solid helping of Covid conspiracy theories and a whole lot of sovereign citizen legalese.
Talk to any committed conspiracy theorist and usually you’ll quickly hear of concerns about impending Communism. I don’t think many of these people have a strong idea of what Communism entails, or what exactly a Communist takeover of New Zealand (or any other country) would mean — instead it’s usually just a generalised idea of Bad People being in control and Freedom being lost (with the definitions of Bad People and Freedom both being pretty flexible).
It appears, generally, to be an idea extracted in part from mainstream US political rhetoric, and then blended with more esoteric ideas about a small powerful lobby angling for global control.
Throughout the global Covid pandemic there have been a large contingent of influencers peddling the idea that each and every aspect of the response to the crisis has been somehow engineered to support a global power play.
Again, the specifics will vary a little depending on who’s telling it, but the typical theory is that some sort of global leadership — The Deep State, or The Cabal, or the UN, or the World Economic Forum, or the Freemasons, or the New World Order (or a combination, or they are all the same) — has exploited (or engineered) the pandemic to enact tyranny, or pacify the population, or devastate the economy, or implant tracking chips, or deploy new 5G networks, or depopulate the globe (or a combination of these).
These ideas, unsurprisingly, intersect with some QAnon claims, and have been embraced and extended by many conspiracy influencers who were launched to “fame” by their part in decoding Q for the “normies” who were brought into the conspiracy rabbit hole by the Trump-centric political conspiracy theory.
And so, facing these existential threats of generalised Bad Things, a ragtag band of sovereign citizen idealists, began deputising themselves.
In recent days, as they’ve been told some imaginary deadline approaches, they took steps to prepare to save us all. They have been making lists and, apparently, gathering together in posses, ready to arrest those they have been indexing in Excel sheets as traitors.
Sandra Crack is, she claims, an Australian Sheriff according to the Magna Carta of 1215, UK Bill of Rights 1635, the Australian Constitution of 1901.
And the King James Bible of 1611.
She is just one of a number of people attempting to recruit even more common law Sheriffs in New Zealand and Australia. Their alleged powers are vague and poorly defined — mostly they’re just confident that those with official power are actually criminals, and they are empowered to pursue them.
The process for signing up is remarkably simple — join a Telegram group, fill out an online form and print out a certificate to fill out, then simply somehow convince a local Justice of the Peace to sign it.
Exactly how they are convincing JPs to participate is unclear, but rumours of intimidation and standover tactics have been heard. And simply exploiting the JP’s naivety is likely a large part of the process. JPs in Australia, according to Sheriff Crack in one of her videos, have received instructions on the matter and will no longer sign their documents.
According to Robin Hood, one of the more prolific New Zealand Sheriffs, they number in excess of 50 locally. While their specific plans are unclear, their rhetoric is, at times, violent and extreme.
According to some, including Sheriff Sandra Crack, these self-appointed law enforcers derive their power from “common law” – a nebulous concept that basically encompasses any and all legal traditions and precedents that predate the current legal system.
Recently Sheriff Crack presided over a 2-day “grand jury” process conducted over Zoom. “Today’s grand jury is to start the discussions for the genocide that’s happening in New Zealand,” said Crack as she introduced the first day’s proceeding, at 5pm on March 21st — that first day ran for three hours and twenty minutes (I absolutely did not watch it all!)
For those not already well immersed in the world of sovereign citizens and common law, the session would have been almost incomprehensible. “What’s happening is we’ve got a tyrannical government that’s overpowering the people,” Crack explained. “Therefore what happened was I enacted the King James Bible and the Magna Carta section 61 which meant that all people get a say on their own land.”
Once the preamble was done with, the rest of the three hours was largely taken up with people — serving as both witnesses and jurors — recounting various disagreements with government actions and repeating online claims about Covid, vaccines and various regulations. They also took turns describing what actions they might want to see taken. “Number one would be removing the police,” said Juror #1, “they no longer stand up for their oath to serve and protect.”
Day 2 played out in a similar way, for more than five hours. “The people of New Zealand are reclaiming their land and evicting a corporate government that have come in full tyranny and in treason,” said Crack in her second day introduction.
Discussions varied wildly, as they did the day before. The day ended in a juror vote about whether all the assorted causes and actions were proven. The final outcome was 22 “yes” votes, one vote shy of what Crack said would constitute a definitive grand jury verdict. Nonetheless it was a satisfactory outcome, making the verdict that of, according to Crack, an “assize court” — still sufficient to assure the Sheriffs all the powers they would need.
These 20-odd jurors from New Zealand, and a self-appointed Australian Sheriff, have, apparently, enacted a new law and formed a new multilateral legal entity they keep referring to as ANZUS (Australia and New Zealand, it’s unclear if they believe the US is involved too).
Off the back of this action New Zealand Sheriff, Kerre Ann, has apparently taken what seems to be the next step, posting the “final notice” she issued to all New Zealand politicians in a local Facebook group dedicated to sovereign citizen training and common law Sheriffs.
The notice gave all recipients three (3!) hours to depart New Zealand. By 2pm yesterday, according to Kerre Ann, they had not left and were now subject to arrest. By anyone.
In a post earlier in the day she outlined the new situation. “We have issued warrants of arrest based on assized grand jury,” she wrote. “We are now anzus working with aussie and have new amendments and constitution. We have NZ back.”
The same post outlines the next steps:
“Next is serving all police, schools and putting up signs everywhere. Processing covid claims, more arrests under treason and genocide. All proof has been sent with arrest forms.”
Asked by a member of the Facebook group (which has more than 11,600 members) what would happen now that the offenders hadn’t abided by the notices that had been issued, Kerre Ann was quite blunt: “We can now arrest any foreign entity corporation government entity[sic],” she wrote. “We have our country back. The government is gone.”
But so far there’s no evidence that any of the subjects have actually been arrested. And if the government is gone, there seem to be a lot of people who haven’t been looped in on this.
For all the online talk of evicting government, citizen’s (or Sheriff’s) arrests, and trials for treason, it’s hard to get a clear sense about what any of these people actually plan to do.
Observing from the outside, it’s like watching young children construct elaborate imaginary worlds and complex rules to some ever-evolving game of cops and robbers. There are half-explained concepts that they all seem to just accept or know, a very confusing narrative, and overly simplistic decisions and declarations of guilt.
But everyone involved seems to absolutely believe it.
They believe they are right — that this barely explained concept of law is not only correct, but it’s actually the true law of the land. And that they, somehow, are empowered to enforce it using powers they have given themselves and courts that they run.
It seems like most are content to simply participate in this strange role-playing game from the comfort of their lounge. But concern remains that some may want to make their participation more physical.
I guess we’ll see, tomorrow, if the threat of a Communist takeover is enough to drive any of these self-appointed Sheriffs into action.

I wonder if any of the sheriffs will comment to clear up, perhaps, what the communist NWO situation is now? Sheriff Crack was pretty specific - the paperwork was being signed by "Jacinta" on April 1. So did the sheriffs fail to stop it? Are we a communist country now?
